From Italy to Japan with Design

Today we are happy to share with you a property design project in Japan.

Our client contacted us asking for advice after visiting our website. From there we establish a relationship where the client and our interior designers compare tastes and needs to propose some design items.

Let’s start with the table Spyder Wood by Cattelan Italia, a modern table that can complete dining room furniture with style. The simple X-shape of the steel base, with bright finishes that reflect light, enhances the precious material of the top. The customer opted for both wood and glass choices.

To surround the wooden table, the client’s choice went to four Kartell Masters chairs: a sharp homage to three iconic chairs, reinterpreted and reinterpreted by Starck’s creative genius. Arne Jacobsen’s “Series 7,” Eero Saarinen’s “Tulip Armchair,” and Charles Eames’ “Eiffel Chair” intertwine their unmistakable silhouettes in a sinuous hybrid to create an original and eye-catching fusion of styles. Lightweight and practical, Masters can also be used outdoors.

For the glass table, on the other hand, the client inspired by the play of the warp and weft of a fabric, chose the Ami Ami chair

The name in Japanese literally means “to weave”-arose from the designer’s desire to reproduce one of the stylistic hallmarks of his culture, weaving. The simple, square lines contrast with the richness of the weave work, which is evident on the inner and outer surfaces and made through a complex industrial process that recreates the pattern through the use of a single mold.

For the living room, the client opts for Globe, a designer glass coffee table created by Giorgio Cattelan, with an incisive sculptural character that complements a modern design living room with style and elegance.

Staying with coffee tables and Cattelan, another choice is Scacco, among the company’s longest-running and most iconic products: a living room glass coffee table with a Carrara marble base that becomes the undisputed star in a designer living room.

We close the selection of small tables with Otto, a small table created by Paolo Cattelan for the Cattelan Italia brand, which has the shape of a truncated pyramid with an octagonal base: the solid figure appears inverted, that is, with the smaller base at the bottom and the larger base at the top, and is symmetrical but not regular.

Crystal-coated surfaces featuring a mirrored finish that emphasizes the faceted shape of the object, creating interesting lighting effects.

Another modern, minimalist accessory the client chose for her villa is the Regal wall mirror, designed by Giorgio Cattelan in 2000 and kept unchanged over the years, a must-have minimalist item.

Another classic from Cattelan Italia is the ValentinoX Consolle with a polished stainless steel base. Cylinder in Travertine (TN), black Marquina marble (NM) or white Carrara marble (BC). Clear or smoked 12mm crystal glass top. Countertop.

We conclude our brief tale in total relaxation with three Cassina sofas: the 202 “8” series by Cassina of which the armchair, two-seater sofa, in two sizes, three-seater sofa, right and left chaise longue, and various combinable elements are part; and the 249 Volage EX-S series, a design sofa conceived by Philippe Starck that transforms the sleeping area into an island of well-being contaminated by the furnishings of a suite.

The 192 Miloe series, a skyline to be shaped according to one’s relaxation needs, to create customized configurations by placing the soft cushions, in various sizes and colors.
