Fabio Novembre: elegance and originality

Elegant and dynamic, cheerful and surprising, Fabio Novembre’s production is all about finding the beating heart of spaces and objects, imbued with a softly flowing energy.

In his long career, the designer from Lecce has signed the creation of always innovative environments for restaurants, stores and exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad and, thanks to the collaboration with prestigious design companies, he has given life to objects with unprecedented concepts and shapes, able to amaze, excite and entertain.

In 1994, the year he opened his studio, came his first interior design assignment: the Anna Molinari Blumarine store in London. Next would come the Lamborghini campus, the Milan City Council’s layout for the Shanghai Expo and Casa Milan, for whose company he also redesigned the logo.

In 2012 began a collaboration with Venini from which arose surprising creations such as Murana, the blown glass vase poised between face and mask, with obvious references to the Venetian carnival tradition.

As of 2019, Fabio Novembre is also artistic director of Driade. He is united with the company by a solid bond that has given us iconic pieces such as Venus Driade, a tribute to immortal art, beauty and elegance in a new guise that is functional, practical and contemporary.

Equally contemporary, resolute in its occupation of space, with elegance and character, is Driade’s Marble Collection, consisting of a sofa, armchair, chaise longue and coffee table.

For Driade, Fabio Novembre has also designed. Love, the sideboard that pays homage to love with its lighthearted cheerfulness. Once again, style and functionality find their balance in an element that not only furnishes, but also tells.

The human body attracts Novembre’s attention on several occasions, as in Nemo Driade, where the face loses its aspects of uniqueness to become a symbol of universality and purity while showing itself capable of welcoming and embracing.

The collaboration with Kartell is also rich and fruitful.

Among the striking creations is. Lantern, which is characterized by its unique light effect. It is a transparent, injection-molded rechargeable lantern that recharges by resting on a conductive base.

Apulian tradition is reinterpreted, with a modern look, in the Pumo holder, made of plastic and transparent material, available in various colors, which recalls the shapes of one of the symbols of its homeland: the Pumo.

In various colors there is also Eur, also for Kartell. With its well-defined geometric shape, reminiscent of Italian architecture of the 1930s and 1940s, it goes beyond its original function as a stool to open up to different alternatives that make it adaptable to different environments and styles.

November’s playful streak of creativity comes through in Smile Kartell capable of brightening up any environment with its smile.

Instead, Jewel kartell is there to embellish them, a real jewel that enters homes striking the eye with its transparency and the refined brightness of its multiple faces. A tribute to what is precious, to the space where we move, to the unique and personal lifestyle of each of us.

November’s is thus a world waiting to be discovered where to play with art, tradition and the expressive power of timeless objects.
